Major Costs and funding

  • The Graffiti Removal Project is a community service with no charge being made to businesses, organizations or individuals for the work undertaken
  • Rotarians provide labour free of charge
  • The cost of equipment and materials needs to be met by sponsors with minor assistance from donations
  • While some initial temporary assistance may be required by some clubs, this project should NOT be supported by Rotary funds
  • Donations from businesses and individual owners or occupiers of properties where graffiti has been removed can be a valuable source of income.  However the amount and the frequency tends to be unpredictable and should not be relied upon for budgeting purposes

If paint is provided by a sponsor, on-going costs will normally be for

  • Graffiti solutions
  • Re-supplying materials ( Paint brushes, scrubing brushes, protective clothing etc.)

Ku-ring-gai Council and councils in general will normally be receptive to providing assistance for

  • Purchase and maintenance of a water-blaster
  • Expenses up to $5000 p.a.
