PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE 6th August 2009
Club Program
Light Blue Team (Business 75%) is off to a flying start with 62 business cards in our data base at end July. Fantastic and keep them coming, just drop them in the bucket at the registration desk.
Green Team (Community 5,000) is working up its strategy with great input from Roger Norman and the marketers. More shortly.
Dark Blue Team (Partner opportunity) is working on improved communications to partners. Last week, Martin Thomas on nuclear energy was our first partner night for the year.
Red Team (New member 3/6) is making good progress with Grahame Marr preparing a member development program and briefing mentors selected by new members. At the moment we have as mentors Pam Pritchard/Julie-Ann Taylor, Ian Salmon/Victor Brushe, and Roger Norman/Jay Thorogood.

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE 23rd July 2009
Partners' Night - 28th July
Adding to Rob Pritchard's bulletin note, we would be delighted to see partners and guests who are free and looking for an interesting presentation and good company, at the Club meeting on Tuesday 28th. Grahame Marr has provided the following resume for the guest speaker, Martin Thomas:
Very knowledgeable, articulate and quite amusing. He was on Ziggy Switkowski's 7 member Task Force on the future energy needs of Australia. They produced a report which came out in favour of nuclear energy although he had also chaired a committee working on solar energy. He travels interstate & overseas to speak on the subject. We are fortunate to be able to get him.
Business 75
Barrie Heath showed his initiative on Tuesday to grab a handful of business cards from the Warrawee Bowling Club notice stand to add to my 2 cards in the "Business 75" bucket. To recap, our aim is to reach out to businesses in our Rotary catchment, with 75% of those businesses entered on a database for ongoing contact and liaison. The bucket will be on the registration desk each Tuesday and we will monitor progress throughout the year.
